Motorcycle Accidents
If you are in a motorcycle accident:
- Stay calm and remain at the scene.
- Try not to move your vehicle until the police arrive.
- Contact the police.
- Gather as much information as possible including your area and location, the other driver's name, license, insurance, and vehicle type.
- Take pictures of the location of the vehicles and the damage to all vehicles if possible.
- Try to get the names and addresses of any witnesses to the accident.
- Seek medical attention, even if you do not think you are seriously hurt.
- File an Operator's Report with your local police within 5 days.
- Notify your insurance company.
- Get a police report.
- Keep copies of all bills, medical records, prescription receipts and other documents evidencing losses or expenses.
